To provide our Services, some features require us to identify you. When you interact with the App—including during login, registration, or communication with our team—we may collect personal information such as:

- Seafarer Identity Number (CDC No.)
- Seaman Book Number (NSB No.)
- Rank (if you have an existing seafarer profile)
If you already have a valid Seafarer ID, the App may retrieve your personal details from our system or partner databases to verify your identity and sea service status.
1.2 Automatically Collected Data
We may collect non-personal data such as:
- Device model
- Operating system version
- IP address
- App usage logs
- Crash/diagnostic reports
This information helps improve stability and performance.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your personal information is used to:
- Create and maintain your account
- Authenticate your seafarer identity
- Enroll you in courses that require sea service verification
- Issue completion certificates
- Provide customer and technical support
- Improve and optimize the App’s performance
- Send important updates and notifications (course updates, certificate availability, verification status)
Your data is never sold or used for advertising or marketing without your consent.
3. Sharing of Information
We may share your information only with:
1. Partner Training Centers
To process course enrollment, verify sea service, authenticate your Seafarer ID, and issue certificates.
2. Regulators or Authorities (If Applicable)
Only when required by law for maritime compliance or training verification purposes. We do not share your data with advertisers, third-party marketers, or unrelated organizations.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your information is stored on secure cloud servers using:
- Encrypted communication (HTTPS/TLS)
- Encrypted database storage
- Role-based access control
- Audit logs and monitoring
We apply strict technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
5. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time within the App:
Profile → Settings → Delete Account
Once deletion is confirmed:
- Your personal data is permanently erased
- Course progress, verification data, and certificates are deleted
- This action cannot be undone
Children’s Privacy
OpenedDoor is intended for adult seafarers (18+) or trainees enrolled through partner training centers.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If such data is reported to us, we will delete it immediately.

You may request to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Update or correct your information
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your certificates or training records
